I recently had my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer. Having a scar in such an odd place (right across my neck) brings lots of questions and it makes me self-conscious to have to explain the whole "cancer thing" to strangers. I want this scar gone fast. Of course I looked up similar scars on the internet and some people still have theirs years later. So I got Mederma^®. I’ve only been using Mederma^® for a short time and my scar is 80% improved! I recently had a surgery to get a mole removed from my face. My plastic surgeon informed me it would leave a scar, but I didn't know what to expect. Years ago I was involved a car accident – it was a head-on collision – and even though I had my seatbelt on, my head hit the windshield. Fortunately, I didn’t have any serious head injuries, but the glass shattered and cut me. From the middle of my forehead over on my right side was in pretty bad shape. It almost looked like a bear clawed my face. I also had a broken leg that they had to put a rod in to help it set properly, so I have a big scar on my hip. But my main concern at the time was my face. Everyone worries about their face – we’re all thinking about how we look to other people when we’re out in the world. So six months after the accident I had reconstructive surgery and after the stitches were removed, I used Mederma^® religiously, every day, and it worked. I know if I hadn’t used Mederma^®, the scars on my forehead would be much more noticeable than they are. You can barely see them today. I’m really telling my story to let you know that if Mederma^® worked for me, with how bad my injuries were, you shouldn’t hesitate to use it for any scar you have, no matter how big or small it is. I still keep a tube of Mederma^® handy at the house, because I’m always bumping into things and getting little cuts. My husband uses it too, for a scar he has from a shoulder surgery. I hope that if you’re watching this because you or someone you love is self-conscious about a scar you’ll go out and get Mederma^® as soon as you can, because it’s one of the best things I ever did for myself.

I am a certified dog trainer. I got careless working with a German Shepherd which resulted in a bite to my face just below my left eye. Dog bites typically are not sutured, but the ER doctor that treated my bite was concerned with scarring, so she used two stitches to help close the wound. Then she recommended Mederma^® Advanced Scar Gel. As you will see in the before and after pictures, Mederma^® worked wonders. Thank you for your fine product.

 

I used Mederma^® Advanced Scar Gel after surgery on my face for removal of a lesion. The scar was about 1.5-2 cm on my right cheek. After my wound healed, I started using the gel by massaging it in a few times a day — in the morning before putting on makeup and twice in the evening, as soon as I come home and just before going to bed. The gel has a light texture and absorbs into the skin quickly, so I could put makeup on and go to bed without worrying about having marks on the pillows. I’m very happy with the excellent results I got after three months. Take a look at my photos! My friends don’t notice my scar as much, nor can I.

 

I can't praise Mederma^® enough! A few years ago I had my thyroid removed and the surgery left a scar. I slipped & fell on very hard kitchen floor. My foot went sideways and my face burst on the left side, near my eye. I knew I would have a very large scar and remembered using Mederma® years ago. I started using it two weeks after the accident, when the bruising went down. I’m still using Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel after 8 weeks. Now my scar is hardly noticeable; just a thin pink line. Everyone tells me my scar looks better. I am very pleased with the results. Happy that I remembered Mederma®.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2011; I immediately had a double mastectomy and started the process of reconstruction surgery. Well here it is almost one year later and I just finished the first big surgery, it was 10 1/2 hours long and I have a 16 inch scar from left side of waist to the right side of waist. They essentially took all the fat and blood vessels and skin from my waist and used it to create new breasts. I just started using the Mederma^® Advanced Scar Gel, although it looks like I will have to buy stock in the company because I am going through so much LOL. It’s good to read the stories of others who have had success, I am hoping I will be one of them.

I had 2 surgeries and the doctors had to use staples to close both sides of my neck in hopes of less scarring. I was cut on both sides from my ears to my chin. One of the nurses told me as soon as you heal, use Mederma^®. It is wonderful. I cannot tell you how wonderful your product is. I really didn't have hope that these scars would ever, ever reduce in appearance. Friends, co-workers and family are shocked at what great results I have gotten. I would have attached my before photos but they are very graphic and something most people cannot look at. Again thank you, thank you for this amazing product.

After my surgery on my wrist I was so worried that I would have a huge ugly scar to keep forever. People would always notice it while I was working and would ask what happened to me. I remembered seeing commercials about Mederma® so I decided I would give it a try. I used it for a few months and it really did help. People no longer notice it while I'm working. It's not gone completely but Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel sure helped out a lot. My scar looks so much better than it used to. I'm not nearly as self-conscious about it like I used to be. My boyfriend just started using it on some of his scars and he's already seeing results.

 

I had a breast reduction and I have acne on my back and face. Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel has done GREAT for me.

At age 21 I underwent surgery, leaving a two-inch incision across the front of my neck. I was nervous the scar would be very noticeable, so I started using Mederma® Advanced Scar Gel as soon as I was healed. I am very happy with the results!
